A very very special friend was leaving and i was so confused about what i must gift her...something to remember our frendship, something that'll remind her about me...and i knew just the perfect thing. What better gift can i give her than an A3 size pencil sketch of Jesus ;).I kept it as a total surprise...and the day before she went back to India,i gave it and she sat speechless and shocked, said she loved it! :D and That's all i wanted!Missing her loads! :)
Its a simple blog where I'll be posting my paintings, sketchs, art stuff, few poems i wrote while i was super bored and a li'l bit of my views on subjects that made me think...in short,a li'l bit everything,a li'l bit of me :)

Wanna smoke??
Almost 3-4 months since I did any pencil sketchs...dont want to lose the touch and moreover a few pencil works need to be done before this year's vacations...for a few of my friends ;) so just to get the strokes right and the shading bit perfect am practicing a couple of warm-up random works...since i'd been painting all this while,a quick change wont be good,so decided to do a monochrome painting with a dash of pencil shading in it...
Next's going to be a pure pencil work...till my next blog post,Cheerz! ;)

Lady with the Mirror
My research on mural art continues.... I try and understand the fine details in each work, the different styles of brush strokes of each different artist, the mixing of shades, and the list goes on.Came across a couple of websites related to mural paintings on one of my random google search and in one of them I saw the original of this work....absolutely loved it!Till now all my mural works have been on A4 and A3 sheets....this time I wanted to do it BIG! and went 1 step furthur, and decided to do it on an A2 sheet[thats like half a normal chart size].The drawing and painting together took me almost 2 weeks and yup!pretty happy with the result... :)
All who saw the work said its come out really good and my determination to learn Mural painting professionally has increased twofold!Someday...I WILL! ;)

"Emotion"
Came across a wonderful piece of work on one of my usual random google searches...kudos!to the person who drew it & thanks to him/her for giving me a subject to draw :)...The moment I saw it,I knew I had to draw it!For any layman it might look as simple and plain as it is...don't know why I felt much more than that...the eyes...it had such a strong emotion in it,they spoke volumes...cant really say if its sorrow, fear or anxiety...perhaps that's what really caught my attention.Took almost a week to start and finish it off though its just an A4 size work...I was in no hurry to finish it 'cos I wanted it to be perfect...couldn't imagine making a mistake 'n' then throw it off like how I usually do ;).
Maybe not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with the end result! :) And this is my last work of 2010...looking forward to draw more, draw better and draw different in 2011! ;)
